The music is so loud in comparison to the other sounds (voice/environmental) is there any way I can turn down the music on its own?

I'm afraid you can't. The music can only be switched on or off.

Hi,
in the XIII\DefUser.ini there is this block you can tamper with:
[HXAudio.HXAudioSubsystem]
MusicLightVolume=-6.000000
MusicNormalVolume=0.000000
MusicSliderPos=2
MasterVolume=0.000000
SoundVolume=0.000000
VoiceVolume=0.000000
If this doesn't work out for you (as it didn't for me) there is no other option to adjust sound other than disabling the music part.
