Greetings, Im just curious as I could swear around 2 weeks ago there was a release date of 14.3.2020 in the gog list and few days later Ive checked again and it was gone.

So, any news here what month could be possible?

The monthly updates on the official forum have gone on uninterrupted since January 2019. What are you even on about?

According to a recent update, the Early Access launch is planned for late February.

It was officially announced 4.5 years ago. Don't think anyone said it would be available soon back then.

They abandoned GOG, game in closed beta and is alive. Just on their site and Steam Community

Abandonning GOG is sad ^^ I do hope it is only about the forum. Because no way i buy anything on Steam. I did check the official forum though. Thanks a lot for posting the link. It looks like they work at their rythm to make sure they are satisfied with their baby. This is a good way to do things.

From their forums under 'Experimental / Stable Branches - how to acces them!' you can find instructions on how to acces the beta.


"GOG Galaxy - Changing Branch:

Load up GOG Galaxy
Right-click on Xenonauts 2 in your Owned Games list
Click on settings menu at the top of the screen (the icon looks like two sliders)
Hover over "Manage Installation" and then click on "Configure..."
Use the "Beta Channels" dropdown to choose Experimental or Legacy branch
If this dropdown is disabled, make sure the game isn't currently downloading or already open!
Select "default" if you want to revert back to the stable branch at any point"

According to the post: "As for our Early Access plans, they're still unchanged. We're planning for a EA release in the first quarter of 2023 with February roughly pencilled in as the date. Our goal is to have the entire basic campaign playable from start to finish by this date, although there is likely to still be a few rough edges (some research projects not having artwork, perhaps difficulty settings not enabled, etc) in the game at this point."
