Ok so my favorite tactics against reapers is to throw the stun nade at them... they usually go to sleep.
How is it with zombies? I threw stun grenade on them... and it just got some stun damage and tehn during the alien turn the zombie popped I guess? It got the red splorch of blood and then... disappeared from the map completely?

Anyone has any experience with this?

Is this with or without community edition? I had a lot of issues with bugs in the standard edition where zombies would pop but nothing would show up but some kind of invisible creature, still target-able but does not move and cannot be killed. That would of course mean that then the mission could not be ended by killing all the enemies.

I think it is standard edition, just installed it from GOG, did nothing more with it.

I would suggest just installing the bug fixes from the community edition. It really helped fix a lot of left over bugs.
