So I have been trying to install Xenonauts at least half a dozen times to no avail. It always seems to get hung up on "Getting file list" when start the installation. If anyone has had this problem please let me know if you found a way to fix this because it is becoming very frustrating.

Also, please don't respond with "I had no problems with installing it from Galaxy" because I AM having problems, I don't really care if you got it to work the first time, thanks.

I had this problem and seem to have 'fixed' it just now:

Download the game from the store WITHOUT using Galaxy (just your browser or the downloader) and install it normally. Now, next time you start Galaxy, it will automatically add the game and get stuck on 'Getting file list'; click on the game and select 'Abort' from the 'More' dropdown.

I've just found this workaround and it seems to have worked, but I'm not 100% sure. It's also weird and suspicious the auto-adding to Galaxy.

The method I used was to use the Get Backup and Extras option and download the installation files from there, then installed it manually from the C:/GOG Games/!Downloads/xenonauts folder.

In terms of that particular error though, I don't think it's specific to Xenonauts, as it appears to have problems on slower connections where it times out getting the file information.

I have numerous problems trying to install this game. I downloaded it on Galaxy and keep getting a "disk access error" whenever it tries to install. I downloaded it using the downloader and the install process gets hung up around 25%. It seems that there's no clear way to install this game without issues.
I am having problems as well. I got it downloaded, but it gets stuck loading the files.
I used to have this problem too but after the most recent GOG Galaxy update, I do not have this problem anymore. Thank you GOG.
I still have this problem. Installed Xenonauts per installer-download and Galaxy recognizes the installation. It tries to retrieve the filelist, seem to fail (after several hours of full download speed nothing changes).
When i abort the download, Gog Galaxy still uses my complete internet bandwith endlessly. When i close Galaxy and restart, the Xenonauts problem appears again, after stopping the download Galaxy uses still the complete bandwith of my internet connection -.-

found the problem:
www.gog.com/forum/general/trouble_downloading_xenonauts/post5

my bandwith can't download 14MB in 20 seconds

I had a problem dling with Galaxy myself. It seems the game does download, but Galaxy doesn't seem to recognise it. If you click more, then folder, you can copy-paste the .exe to your desktop for easy launching.
Thanks for your help, guys. :) It has been awhile since I looked at this thread but finally got this damn game to work properly with Galaxy with downloading from the GOG Downloader and moving it in the Galaxy folder. Was a pain in the butt to get this working proper I tell you.

The game works fine with Galaxy by now. You had to exhume a 2-year old thread just to baselessly piss and moan about Galaxy?

Over to the main forums with you, where the other whiners roam. Don't forget to mention how GoG is totally like Steam and how the evul SJW people are trying to steal your lunch money.
