I purchased Xcom 2 from Steam and have it installed. Will GOG's Xcom 2 War of the Chosen run with Steam's Xcom 2?

2 things brooksr.... Firstly, GOG store will not let you purchase the GOG version of WOTC, unless you already own GOG's version of XCOM2. Pretty sure also, that even if you were able to for some reason (like you DO own the GOG version), but also own it on Steam, you just want to purchase WOTC here, and install it on your Steam version, it won't work, as they install in different folders, and the GOG version won't have the proper Steam files to find/install/work with your Steam version.
