Hello, I need your help please.

I bought the XCOM 2 bundle, but I have almost two days downloading it and even though it reached 100% I cannot install it.

Anyone has the same problem?

Did you ever get it to work? I just got the bundle myself, ill let you know how it gos.
quick qustion tho is war of the chosen considerd dlc then in stead of being an expansion or something? it is listed as in my libary now, but only counts xcom 2 base as a game.

eta at 70 gigs (damn), ill post how it goes in a day or 2.
I got mine working for a while then it stopped I tried to do a verify and reinstall and it has been stuck at 92%.
ok, so first try failed outright, so went and restarted. 2nd time i my pc locked up (unrelated to GOG or the download), and when i resumed it listed 92%, and is not moving the %, says its downloading tho, but also says 70gb/70gb.
is yours stuck just the % as well, or is yours not continuing to download anything?
also, im useing the GOG galaxy to download it.

ok. mine got near the end, and failed, saying the gog server returned an unknown error.
i did a varyify\retry option, and it resumed, but soon the speed went to min, so i pused it and shut down gog galexy, then resterted and resumed, where it bumped up one %, and went till it got to 92%, at 70\70 gigs.......i left it for a little while (hell, i fired up the xbox), and some time later (30mins to 2 hrs?) it said it was installed. i think i might have pause\restarted galaxy a 2nd time in there somewhere, around 92%, dont remember.
it is now installed, and has 2 exe files, for xcom 2, and xcom 2 wotc. i loaded both up and played part of the 1st level to test and worked so far.

so apperntly they glicthed up with the math somewhere, either galexy, or its adding up the game size wrong...i did see that it started at 68 gigs, for a few moments when first starting it and it was checking the files...but then went to 70gb.

(apperntly tho wotc just adds new enimes\allys\systems to the game rather then a new story? i wasnt aware of that lol)

if you cant get it running, i did see that there is a way to configure your installation, so maybe you can try just doing xcom 2 base first, then adding in wotc, then the rest of the dlc.......at least you wont have to deal with all 70gigs at once that way so if it dosnt work, it wont take as long to find out.

anyway, hope this helps.

edit: i forget i also disabled vast antivirus. (left windows defender running)

re-edit: that should say "avast" antivirus, ops.

Thank for the tips my game is still stuck at 92% and is downloading but not either of the exe files so the game is still unplayable for me but glad you got it working.
my download is stuck at 92% too, I can launch Vanilla XCOM 2 from the Binaries/Win64 folder just fine, but there's no .exe file for WoTC, only "XCom2.exe.download" : ( I just want to play WoTC

that could be because it hasnt finished yet. but do you have the other folder for wotc?
heres my file path to the wotc exe:
D:\Installed Games\GOG Galaxy\Games\XCOM 2\XCom2-WarOfTheChosen\Binaries\Win64
yours of course would be where ever you set games to install to, but it should still follow the same file path though the xcom folders.

i attached a screen to show what the icon itself looks like.

edit: fixed the screen shot so i had the right file selected lol

ok, from what i can tell, you are in \GOG Galaxy\Games\XCOM 2\Binaries\Win64
if i go up 2 folders form there i get to \GOG Galaxy\Games\XCOM 2
do you see 2 folders labeld xcomgame, and xcom2-WarOfTheChosen? if i goint xcom2 wotc folder, then binaires subfolder inside it, then win64 folder, i find my xcom2.exe (that one with the red icon) that will open wotc game.

i also found shortcuts in the \GOG Galaxy\Games\XCOM 2 folder, for both.
i see that you have a file there named "xcom2.exe.download" im not sure if thats a place holder for the xcom2.exe file, or if it didnt get its name changed. you might try renaming it and removing the .downlad from the end, but i dont know if that would help or hurt anything.

you might also try turning off anti-virus programs, as sometimes they can prevent other programs from modifying files or systems. i dont know if it did anything for mine, but i turnd off the shields from avast antivirus (allthough i did leave windows defender running).

and, to be honest, id say your best bet is to caculate how long the download *should* take to finish at your average speed, then add 30-60 mins to it, and if that dosnt work, you might have to try it all over, but you might have better luck just doing the base game then downloading wotc 2nd.

Okay, so I copied the entire game onto my external storage device before cancelling the installation and deleting the game. Then I copied the game again onto my computer and linked it with Galaxy to use the repair function. It solves nothing since the update gets stuck right at the very beginning. I'll try to logout and see if that works.

Nope, still nothing. Progress bar gets stuck at 3% every time : (
i would guess it is getting hung up somewhere, and maybe gettting stuck in a loop. i dont actually have too much experince with galaxy, but if nothing is working, and you have a decent internet connection, id say try downloading it in parta (i.e.base game, then wotc) and see if it can get it all one at a time, or if it gets stuck on a certen part, or try it from the website though the browser. other then that i dont know, cause ussaly when something gets stuck like that, it will at least toss out an error, so you know if its a server connection thing, or a data corruption, or what is happening.
I'm still having the same problem. That is being stuck at 92%. I lack both the exe files so I can't even play the vanilla XCOM. Has anybody solved this new problem as up until recently you know the point at which both shootable files just disappeared I was able to play XCOM.
