I've just bought the game and tried to play it, but it doesn't work. After a ridiculous long loading time (1m39s) I get to see the title screen and it says "Press any key to continue". After pressing "any key", the game crashes and I get the Windows message "WF.exe doesn't work anymore".
I'm trying to run the game under Windows 7 (64bit), with admin rights. (Core i7 2,00GHz, 8GB RAM)

Hey honourable forum members,

instead of opening a new thread, I just decided to use this one because I have got unfortunately the same problem as it is described by McLane.

I tried it a couple of times to solve it with the help of the compatibility mode (Windows 95, 98 and XP Service Pack 2), but unfortunately this lead every time to the same crash-message. The attempt to start it with admin rights leads directly to the above mentioned message: "WF.exe doesn't work anymore." I'm trying to run the game under Windows 8.1 (64bit; AMD Phenom II X4 955, 6 GB RAM).

Does anybody know how to fix this issue?

Thank you for your effort!
Finally I solved my problem, maybe this helps you, too.

I've got a HP notebook with two graphics cards. One Radeon and one Intel. You can choose which card shall be yoused to start an exe. But this switcher programm doesn't work right I think.
In the bios settings I was able to deactivate the Intel graphics card and forced the pc to boot with the Radeon card only. After that, it worked.
I'm having the same problem, I have a Radeon graphics card. When I run the game in 256 colors mode, it runs, but wow the color scheme is messed up.
i have the same issue and I tried different settings and I am running windows 10 with a intel Graphics card and it continually crashes after title screen I am slightly annoyed by this issue
