It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

joel5330: This is really disappointing! I thought after over 3 years someone in the company who sold me a game could figure out how to run it. It's not like windows 10 is some obscure linux distro.
It's not Windows 10 that's the issue, it's the horribly outdated game codebase. Also, there's a reason why Windows 8 and 10 aren't listed as supported on the store page...
Some fixes are in another thread: https://www.gog.com/forum/worms_series/any_way_to_run_worms_2_on_windows_10 - you need a 'ReSolution' patch and a custom win32.dll to get the game working on Windows 10 if I recall correctly (it's been a while).
I had to do quite a bit to get this working but, I managed.

1. Replace the frontend.exe with the one from the official Worms 2 CD.
2. Replace the worms2.exe with the one from the official Worms 2 CD.
3. Run both of the official Worms 2 patches in order.
4. Get the "S*natch's WP - 94kB" patch. (look for it with that exact text via Google)
5. Place the patch in your Worms 2 folder
6. Run the patch and apply the No CD patch and any others you want EXCEPT the resolution ones. The resolution patches will bring the game to a crawl.
7. Ensure ALL executable files are set for compatibility with Windows XP - SP 3
8. Run from the Frontend.exe file directly, not through the GOG launcher.

Music still doesn't work but, pretty much everything else does!

IMHO Team 17 needs to work more closely with GOG on compatibility on this

Team17 doesn't care about compatibility of their old titles.

That is both a problem and a shame. People still want to play these games. There is still a demand. My 9 year old son has been having more fun with me on Worms United and Worms 2 than he has on certain modern games.

When he saw I got Worms 2 working, he chose that OVER Minecraft, which was a shock, even to me.

Wait 'til he realizes Armageddon exists. That is still supported by two authorized fans (next patch due this month) and works fine on modern systems.
Armageddon is on my wish list. :)

GaroK0: I thought GoG is supposed to actually care about their old games working, unlike steam that basically sells just a game files that you yourself have to figure out how to get to work.
So do I. Other games that I bought at GOG worked fine, although they did not run in Steam.
But this game crashes instantly.
I know that there are other games in this franchise that working, but I wanted exactly this one.
