Update

The script for Worms United has been updated to ./play.it 2, adding Arch Linux support (amongst other things).
Thanks for the script.

Can you give us more details about the environment?
Most importantly WINE version, distribution used and GPU, so we can try to reproduce it.

Sure. Find the details below. If you're using system version of Wine:
wine-3.0 (Ubuntu 3.0-1ubuntu1)

However I guess it's somehow related with the EXE file you're using to launch the game. I've faced exactly the same problem starting from worms.exe (AFAIR), when I made clean Wine installation. Now I launch with frontend.exe directly, which omits intro, but seems to allow me to avoid the problem, whatever the reason was.

That’s interesting, thanks ;)
I’m going to run some tests to see if we can safely switch to frontend.exe without breaking anything.

By the way, I think intro movies never work unless you installed your game with ./play.it and run it via the menu entry or the command `worms-2`. We use a trick to play the movies with mpv prior to really launching the game, as it seems they are broken when using WINE.

Bug 15934 is now staged. Though it missed making it into Staging 4.0.

Thanks for sharing the news, as we will have to improve our work-around to fire only with WINE versions not handling the movies once this is fixed.
