Bought the game last night and everytime i click "Investigate This Mystery" in Spine Chilling Story Of School Scissors, it goes to a game over screen. Does anyone knows how to solve this?

I just tried it today, and the same thing has happened to me twice in a row. Not sure why this is.

Sadly it looks like December's update broke the game. Developer doesn't seem interested in fixing nor acknowledging the issue so all you can do is wait.
Or bother GOG's support, maybe they'd eventually ask the dev wtf is going on.

i have kind of a solution for you since v0.9.84f has a glitch but you can workaround it by checking the '' skip playthrough intro '' box in extra options.

Why is the only way to play the game to skip the intro? That saddens me. I did send a bug report with a gif of the instant death happening though. I hope the devs do patch it at some point...

Is it doable to skip the intro and try to learn by trial and error?

Or shall I give up and ask for a refund?

Its not really "The Intro", its a quickstart with some tutorial text. The investigation can still show up in the main game. You can still learn it by playing.
