Like most GOG DOS releases this uses dosbox however you can use the ECWolf sourceport to play the game using modern controls
To do so is easy until the ability to detect the GOG files are added in by my friend Blzut3 the deveolper of ECWolf, you will have to manually set it up.
First download the source port from here:
32-Bit Version
64-Bit Version
Unzip the files to your installation directory, I use a custom directory without Galaxy so mine is C:\GoG Games\
so for Wolf3D it would be:
"C:\GOG Games\Wolfenstein 3D"
Put all the files from the zip into the directory and just double click "ECWolf.exe" and configure to your tastes.
For Spear of Destiny you have to put the files from the zip in the M1, M2 and M3 directories and run each ecwolf.exe separate to play the respective mission.
Create shortcuts as you see fit, you cannot do this through galaxy sadly.
Hope this helps feel free to ask questions.
