always crashes for me

Tested v5.0 and... it's not crashing anymore for me, same to original RtcW.
For some bizzare reasons it crashed (and AI turn off) a lot on my Win764bit (vanilia, iortcw and knightmare) and then - it stopped.
I guess these crashes were made by my attempts to fix resolutions problems (it stretch behind visible range) and found solution to this, which make this mod playable.
And boy, I always played RtcW on easy and Venom give enemies more HP. Not sure if like it or not....well, I'll make playthrough to check it out.

hmm, if i just want to play the "original" RTCW without modding it/making it harder, is there a patch that only contains the fixes/widescreen support and other things that don't change the gameplay?
I'm asking this because on the moddb page it says "with a new challenging and aggressive AI...", and i don't want that.

Referring to author of the mod:

For original difficulty, just open sp_pak5 with WinRar and delete subfolder "maps".
