The is a bug in the gog wiz8 installer that losses the default save game files and character files that the game is set to start with... it has been reported.

as a workaround, you can copy an older copy of the files into the new galaxy game folder or start a new game and make at least 6 new characters... this is tested on my w8.1 laptop and works there.

p.s, the wiz8fix looks to the old location... thats why it thinks no game is installed.

I never got it to run , so i have no save game files.

Was hoping the fix would make it run.

Try installing and running the game without Galaxy. It installs and runs fine for me in Win10x64, build 14291, R9 380 4GB, Crimson 16.3.1 drivers. Only compatibility option I use is "run as admin."

I can give you a copy of mine... unzip and drop the three folders into your wiz8 game folder.
I've tested this on on windows 8.1 only but it works there.

to go back to windows 7.
