Does anyone have any suggestions why the voice over isn't working../ I would really like to hear it as it has never worked yet !! The rest of the game sounds, both new and old work fine ....and yes I have ticked the box for the voice..!
So if anyone could help I'll be very grateful for suggestions... ( Win 10, 4gig GTX 960, 16gb ram, Intel i7)

It seems to me that the Steam version (from the developers) actually uses some additional files and/or settings for voice over, the GOG version however doesn't.

Maybe one day I'll also buy the Steam version and look into the differences.

However I' dont really mind the missing VO as the original Amiga version - which I was already playing in 1990 ;-) - also didn't have it...

True, but as it was a new thing to hear the diary, I would have quite liked to hear it.....but would probably turned it off after a few minutes anyway!

It doesn't seem to work on my version either. The Kickstarter backer version works fine.
Hello @GOG.COM

At least it would be nice to finally know if there will be a future update putting the voice back in, if there's a manual fix or if it is a licence thing, that the voice got excluded from the GOG version?
Couldn't be so hard to drop a reply here in the forum for all users, right? We can handle the truth. :)
Thanks a lot.
I also just installed the game and was very dissappointed becuase of the missing voice over...

Will there be a fix?
Hi again.

I just wanted to inform you of my GOG vs. STEAM version comparing, you can find my post in a new thread.

In short: No voice acting in GOG version due to different files, STEAM version has it.
If it's not one thing it's another, I swear. The lack of voice acting isn't the end of the world, but I'm quickly growing tired of paying for inferior GOG versions of video games. GOG should force developers & publishers to have feature parity between the Steam and GOG versions of their game(s) and if they fail to do that, their game(s) should be removed from GOG's store.
Why the hell is this still not fixed :-( Damn.
