Hi all,

We've uploaded a new installer for Wings! Remastered that will update your game to version 1.2. PLease download the new installer at your earliest convenience in order to get the latest and greatest version of the game.

Changes for version 1.2:

-Fixes to joystick detection and controls

-Increased difficulty on the AI

-Some other minor bug fixes

Thanks and have a nice day :)
Now there's no more voice over. Wingmen are still absolutely useless and AI friend and foe alike are still just as prone to utilize kamikaze tatics as they were before.

Basically, the game worked marginally better before it was 'fixed'. It's a good try and is faithful enough to the original, but I really regret spending my money at this point. Should've waited for 50% off.
So, has this fixed enemy plane positioning variety at the beginning of dogfight missions?
I'm afraid I'm having the same problems. No voice overs now, and the game seems to detect each axis wrongly (left and right up and down ought to show up as - or + for each axis. They either both show one or the other. Joystick is an MS Sidewinder Precision 2
Still having issues here. Just played a mission where it mentioned a bomber and a single escort - but the dogfight involved 3 enemies. And sadly, every dogfight still seems to start as head-on game of "chicken" every time, leading to incredibly easy and quickly finished missions. Can conform that the voice-over is also not working.

On the plus side, my 360 controller maps perfectly and is working well.

I think where it mentions like a bomber and single escort is what they "think" you will be up against. Sometimes you get surprised. I think I remember the old game doing this. But it was a long time ago...
It's almost been 3 weeks since the "patch" got released with no voice overs!

Seriously man! Get this fixed!
Still no help with the joystick problems either. Is there going to be a further bug fix to resolve this? I have a basic Thrustmaster joystick but the game really doesn't want to play with it!
I'm using Logitech Attack 3 and it works well with the game. Honestly I can't imagine playing this with anything other than a joystick. It must be a pain in the butt to be forced to use keyboard so I'm glad my model is supported. The only problem I have is the lack of voice overs but I see it's a common issue. If that's fixed, I'll have nothing to complain about.
Please FIX the Voiceovers...
I just purchased and installed a few days ago, and I'm also without voiceovers.
They are advertised as a feature of the game in the trailer so it's a shame to not have them.
A fix would be much appreciated!
Man, I just checked, the Steam version has voice-over, so it's probably a different version, but no way to tell since both Steam and GOG tell the version as 1.0 in-game.

This sucks Cinemaware, such a long time since the patch and people complaining, and no update from you? Not even a word to let us know you are looking at things, or working on fixing it? Have you dropped this game completely?

Makes me think twice about my support for your Rocket Ranger that I helped Kickstart if your support will be like this...
Since I bought this game 3 weeks ago, I now understand why I can't hear the Voice overs...

No problems with my Logitech gamepad however.

It's about time you guys did something about the voice-overs... a new feature you heavily promoted.
No problems with my joypad, but my version (bought early March) has never had any voice-overs, and the in-game options show it as version 1.0 even after re-downloading the installer
Well, I've bought the game version v2.1.0.2 and there are no voice overs (as mentioned by others).

Since there are some error messages in output_log.txt regarding missing Steam files perhaps someone at GoG or Cinemaware could check the files...
