damson: I've recently fired up the GOG's WC2 version of the game and noticed few problems:
• There is no easy way to get into INSTALL program to alter your sound card options (if you want to use MT-32 for example)
• The game frequently crashes (at least for me)

So I tinkered around with the launcher menu and added option to enter INSTALL utility and altered the base memory allocation to hopefully minimize the crashes (played 10+ missions without a single crash so far).

Here you can grab the modified dosboxWC2_single.conf file, just replace the existing one in your Wing Commander II folder:

Edit: I've added 3 more launch entries for running the game with cheat enabled - you are invincible and can detroy selected target with ALT+DEL key combo

kickerconspiracy: Thanks for this, game seems to crash a hell of a lot less.

Have you had much success with getting MT-32 working? When I select sounds seem missing or the wrong instrument seems to play.
