Schizodeluxe: I just purchased and downloaded WC Prophecy on my windows 7 system and the install file will not load at all. Most of the time it just says my windows system is not compatible with the game even though I changed the compatibility setting to windows 95 and windows 98, even tried all of them but nothing works. Any idea how to get the game to install?
The GOG installer itself doesn't need any compatibility setting, in fact setting one may get in the way of the installer. Remove the compatibility setting and try installing the game again.
After installation is done, the game EXE itself does need a compatibility setting, but the GOG installer should take care of that. It shouldn't be necessary to change the compatibility settings of prophecy.exe unless you install any patches.
