Hi all!

Made some recordings showing Wing Commander on a real 386 with Sound Blaster.

Clock speed set at 25, 33 and 40 MHz.

Personally I found 40 MHz too fast, even 33 a little bit too fast and prefer 25 MHz. But this system is quite fast, with lots of cache and TSENG ET4000 graphics. So in general I would say a 386 with 25 or 33 would be ideal for Wing Commander :)

Nice vids. 25MHz ran smoother than it did on me for the Amiga 500. The 40MHz somewhat resembles the speed for WC on the SNES from recollection, which I feel is too fast.
