Sorry noob here.

My question is about Secret Missions 2 for WC1, and Special Operations 1 and 2 for WC2

Secret Missions 1 is just there, a button in the in-game interface.

But what about the rest? They're exe files in the respective folders, but I don't know what to do with them.

I get "This app can't run on your PC" message.

What do I do?

Thanks!

Very strange! Are you using GOG Galaxy or the standalone installer?

Upon startup, you should see a screen like this one (This one's from Wing Commander 2).

1. Download, extract, then run https://dosbox-staging.github.io/.

https://github.com/dosbox-staging/dosbox-staging/wiki

(To edit your dosbox-staging.conf file, refer to https://github.com/dosbox-staging/dosbox-staging/wiki/Frequently-asked-questions#where-is-the-config-file).

2. Open Dosbox-Staging and run:

MOUNT C C:\DOSGAMES
Replace c:\dosgames with the folder that contains your DOS games and/or Wing Commander 1 or 2.

3. Type c:\ and press Enter.

* By the way, to see what files and folders are in a directory, type dir and press Enter.

4. Navigate to the folder that contains your DOS games and/or Wing Commander by typing the command below and pressing Enter:

cd foldername
Replace foldername with the folder containing your DOS games.

5. Type the name of the .EXE file for that Wing Commander secret mission you want to play, then press Enter. For Wing Commander 1, Secret Mission 2's executable is SM2.EXE.

For Wing Commander 2, there are SO1.EXE and SO2.EXE.

Your game should now be running. If you still have issues, come to Dosbox Staging's Discord Chat channel: https://discord.gg/WwAg3Xf and ask for help.
