I just downloaded these and ive been watching them but these are almost all scenes that I remember from the PS1 version... were they not in the PC version or something? Havent had time to play it yet but..
Of wing commander 3 that is
That's right--they're in the PSOne (and 3DO) ports, but not the PC version.

Back in 1994, a lot of people still had first generation 1X CD-ROM drives, which couldn't read the now-standard 74-minute CDs. The original plan wasn't to support these drives at all, but late in the game Origin realized they needed that audience even if they couldn't run the game very well... so the game had to ship on 63-minute CDs instead. Which meant cutting unnecessary video, which ended up being the news reports and (oddly) Hobbes' explanation of why he betrayed you.

Most if not all of the videos can also be seen at http://www.wcnews.com/. Excellent site for WC related material.

True! Although these ones should be a little nicer than the ones that have been at wcnews forever--we ripped them straight from the Playstation version and encoded them in a more modern format. (That's true of most of the extras--made a point of making them a little nicer than what was already available.)

I was lucky enough to buy the official origin guide to WC3 back in the day that came with the behind the scenes CD-ROM, I still have it in my closet somewhere...

I loved that guide. Mine is still sitting right beside me even now.

Mine is on my bookshelf, I'll pull it out after I fire up WC3 (probably after football season)...
Is there a guide to when these scenes are supposed to take place? Preferably as spoiler-free as possible (eg- "sc_138 after Orsini 1", or whatever).
