Does anyone know what the soundtrack installer does?

After install the only updated files appear to be GOG Galaxy-related, none of the game files have a current date modified.

The changed / updated files appear to be the uninstallers and the gameinfo / hash files such as "goggame-2017471796.info" and "goggame-2017471796.hashdb".

You are right, the installer doesn't contain anything useful, only installer and game metadata related stuff.

It may have been accidentally created or it may be needed for GOG Galaxy for some reason.

I've contacted the support team: They said it was a mistake and removed this additional download.

A 6 MB "soundtrack" DLC installer still appears in the Download page. After reading this thread I assume it's safe to ignore it.

Yes, it reappeared when the game was updated.
