Any solutions for this? I got it working at some point in my life because while I did used to have this problem, I somehow managed to fix it. No idea what I did though, as everything I've currently tried still doesn't fix it.

Basically, after the Asymmetric logo appears, and the game is supposed to go to the main menu, nothing is displayed. I can still hear the music and there is still input, just no display.

I'm running a GTX 970 with an i5-6600k, all on latest drivers. Any other video game works, even other Unity games, so I'm not sure why West of Loathing is having these issues. Any help would be much appreciated.

A black screen at launch could be one of several issues. If your video drivers are definitely up to date and you aren't using an integrated Intel graphics card (the two most common problems), then it might be:

1. Comodo AntiVirus doesn't seem to play well with WoL. If you are indeed running that, you'll need to go to the Comodo floater on your screen and click 'Tasks' at the top left of the home screen, then open the 'General Tasks' tab and choose 'Unblock Applications'.

2. Our automatic resolution detection code may be having problems in a few cases.

Try to start the game up with this command-line option, and select “Ugly” quality and a lower screen resolution:

-show-screen-selector

If that works, feel free to restart and try “Good” quality and a better resolution and see how large you can make it before you have problems again?

If neither of those help, then could you potentially send us your Unity log? If you can find the West of Loathing_Data folder, the log should be in there. Email that file to support@asymmetric.net.
