Admittedly, you can't really see your character's face most of the time, but I was slightly disappointed with the range of hairstyles (and lack of recolouring options) in the game.

Has anyone investigated the possibility of being add new textures or models?

It's inevitable, but it's still up in the air how much modding will be officially supported.
