JudasIscariot: Ok, just added patch_wasteland2_2.4.0.15.exe.

shaddim: Thanks, this one worked... currently installing the patch chain.
Excellent :) I would recommend updating the main installer when you have the time as it's updated to the latest version :)

OK, I updated to the last patch 18 and the game starts and seems to load my save games without problems. :)

I'm not sure why I should... is the latest patch not the same state as the latest full main installer?

It is but I was only recommending the update to the latest installer so you wouldn't have to keep a whole bunch of patches on hand AND you wouldn't need to install so many files in the event of another patch appearing :)

Ah, I see, to simplify future installations, thanks for clarification, have a good day! ;)

You got it :)
I bought Wasteland 2 yesterday and downloaded all 4 parts of the Windows Installer (1 .exe. and 3 .bin files) plus the patches.

Whenever I try and install, it gives me a red message " Installer files missing. please make sure you have downloaded all the parts. You will be asked for their location during installation. Integrity check will be skipped."

I agree to the EULA, hit Install, and it asks me to Please Select Setup 2.4.0.18-1.bin, which I do. It then tells me Installation cannot proceed without the required file. Do you want to cancel?

I have downloaded the files twice and tried installation on two different PC's. (Window 7 and Windows 8)

Any suggestions?

americannerd: Any suggestions?
A directory listing or screenshot of the folder they are in, all files need to be in the same folder, and showing the complete names.

pusherbott: The reason I was asking is because there is a Patch 5 and Patch 5.1 for Mac available in GOG, but no Patch 6. It just seemed strange that they would change their patching strategy midway through the support cycle.
The generic response is typically so many files changed that the patch is nearly as large as the full install. Why they did it in this case I couldn't say. D:OS also had a few patches for Mac, but the last few updates have been full installs IIRC. You could actually use the official unofficial patches. Thought they were only for Linux, but it's actually for all three.

Thanks Gydion! I had removed the underscores.

Do we need to install all the patches sequentially or just the latest one?

If you did not install them when they came out, then sequentially, if you are downloading now the game then don't worry, the game is already in the last version.
do i have to install all patches? i just download the game

No, the current installer is already patched to Patch 6. =)

Man, the time these guys waste on `steam achievements` in their Patches that could be better used improving the game. I see all Devs do it, but what a waste of time.

JudasIscariot: Hi,

Patch 6 for Wasteland 2 has just been deployed on GOG. For Windows, there is a patch file named "Patch 6" and for Linux there is a new tar.g

Here are the patchnotes:

Thanks and have a nice day :)
Is a working Linux version planned?

WL2 does NOT work on Ubuntu 20.04

It's been five years since the update. And inXile is a Microsoft studio now. I believe the answer is quite obvious. :)
