New interface for PC!

So, we are very closed to the new edition.

An interface overhaul. Finally! And full controller support as a bonus. And apparently parts of the UI toggle between UI focused on mouse and UI focused on a pad depending on the used control method. I've had far too many issues, many of the because of the interface so now I'm patiently waiting for the patch. This might improve my game experience dramatically. ... Or not, we'll see I guess.

Looks more promising than I feared, and I like that you can click on an object and get the various ways you can interact with it, rather than doing so via the 7 characters. Will make things a bit faster I imagine.

Intrigued to see how the perks work out. Otherwise I suppose the game will play much the same as before. Finished it for the 4th time yesterday. Good fun still, although I do have my reservations about a fair few things.

Supposedly they've redone practically the entire game...yes, we shall see...!

I was about to play it last summer, but i delayed it until the DC gets released. I've read about some complaints about the game so i hope this DC version is better than the original one. The interface looks good!

Is GoG getting free upgrade?

Erh no, they redo the interface and added some new elements, however is far from redoing the full game.
Is more a polished version than a new game (and that is why will be free for everyone who has already the original).

Yes, because is something that come from InXile company, anyone with a legal copy of Wasteland 2 will get a free copy of the Director Cut.

Just remember, that is october 15 GOG time after three wonky installers and hotfixes for the broken hotfixes. God have mercy if you are a mac or linux user.

Although this is learned from Pillars of Eternity (I Supposes, please correct me if I'm wrong), Wasteland 2 Director cut, come as a new game, so probably will be ready since day 1. (Yes, we are to have Wasteland 2 and Wasteland 2 DC as two separated games in our library)

And the hotfixes for the hotfixes was Obsidian, the patches of InXile just were slow but not broken :P

Yes, I guess, if you want to split nits...;) But the game is sufficiently different as to void savegames made in the non-DC version of the game. They're using much better textures, the unity 5 engine...(a new rendering engine for the game), etc. I think the differences will be rather stark, but we shall see...;)

Anyone know that, if i will buy the game after the DC version comes out, i get the vanilla version or tha vanilla will playable only, if i buy, before the DC version?

Most likely you have to own Vanilla version before DC comes out. That's how it has been with other games. Once updated version comes out, the old one is discontinued and no longer for sale.
