I just downloaded patch 6 which appeared, currently running the game with patch 5 (version 2.4.0.16), when I run the installer for the new patch (2.4.0.18) I get the error mentioned in the thread title, why is that?

I kept trying and messing around, it seems patch 6 (2.4.0.18) require patch 5.1 (2.4.0.17) to be installed, that's stupid since 5.1 is just Spanish translation fixes and I didn't install it since I don't speak Spanish anyway.

If I just change the registry values to make it think 2.4.0.17 is installed, will the game work after the update?

Because when I do that the patch allow me to install, I'm just worried it will mess the game up.

OK, checked, downloaded the 5.1 patch, it did give me an error and didn't complete though, according to the log it couldn't add the 2 files to the game folder, it did however install successfully after I manually created the Localization folder in the game folder structure (there was none before).

This was the log:

Wasteland 2 patch log
Error adding: K:\Games\Wasteland 2\WL2_Data\Localization\Main_sp.txt
Error adding: K:\Games\Wasteland 2\WL2_Data\Localization\Defines_sp.txt

as I said, solved by manually adding the Localization folder.

Anyway, currently installing Patch 6 so thank you.

Tweaked? It's more than twice the size. That's a real big tweak!

I have the same issue with Patch 6 (This patch does not support your version of the game) and apparently also need the interim patch 5.1 (2.4.0.17) posted. Shouldn't this be posted to everyone (as opposed to individual users) since it is apparently required for patch 6?

Downloaded patch 6 (84.8 MB Ver 2.4.0.18), upon installing get the message "This patch does not support your version..."

Need a fix ASAP.

Same problem here, downloaded the patch 5 minutes ago. I do not know my current game version, how do I check it?

I also cannot patch to 2.4.0.18, the last patch I downloaded and applied was 2.4.0.15.


Please make old patches available to us by default if they are required to be sequentially applied, we shouldn't have to waste your tech support personnel's time with such trivium!

These are the patches in my folder

patch_wasteland2_2.1.0.10 (already applied)

patch_wasteland2_2.4.0.18 (This does not support....blah)

If I redownload the game will it be patched fully?

Right now, if you download the installer, will have the patch 2.4.0.18 already included.

not supported on this version of the game
Previously had patches 2.1.0.10 and 2.3.0.12 installed
i'm assuming those were patches 1 and 2 so i think i'm missing 3
as the patches available now are 4, 5, 5.1 and 6
do i have to redownload the entire game to fix this?

Probably you can find an old post in this forum with the dropbox links to the other patches (They were uloaded by Gog people) if not... then yes, you will be forced to download again.

By the way, I don't remember if the Gog version 2.3.0.12 is patch 3 or previous, so maybe you has the 4 installed instead of the 3. You could try to verify this frist.
