Pangaea666: On the other hand, it's a benefit to having a character with 10 charisma. The 6 other people will then usually be enough to recruit some characters, unless they require very high combined charisma. With all four at 1 charisma, you're basically out of luck.
Yup, the combined charisma of my 4 core characters is 13 (10+1+1+1) right now. It would be 12 if I left charisma of all 4 members at default value (4*3)

Fenixp: And yeah, it's an extremely handy skill - my team leader is not at all combat oriented, but increased chance to hit is major, and there's a perk which slightly decreases enemy chance to hit as well.
Yea, your other skills has to be sacrificed (at the beginning) to get that leadership skill up. I love the shotgun, but that had to take a step back in favour of the group. And it really is worth it in my opinion. Seeing everyone make those hits, even if you don`t much, is worth it.

Although being told off by Angie for missing does make me feel like shouting back, `Don`t you think I want to be a top gunner? Without my leadership you wouldn`t even be hitting, madam! No you`d probably be running everywhere and dying like a headless chicken!`

I'm not even shooting with my squad leader for the most part, unless enemy is in her face. Last time she tried what I considered a fairly safe shot she ended up killing a cow somewhere in distance.

Belsirk: a little off-topic, but that let you get the mutant girl ? I understand that for recruiting her (and other) you need a minimum of charisma (sum of all the members)
Pizepi Joren requires the highest combined CHA in the game, or used to. Combined score of 25 CHA.

Just a tip if you're worried about CHA, give your leader high CHA as well as Smart Ass, with Smart Ass you can get the Radiant Personality perk which doubles his/her CHA score for recruiting NPCs. That way you can get away with one high CHA character and use it mostly as a dump stat for everyone else.

Hah, that made me laugh =)

When chances to hit aren't that great, it can be useful to have enemies lined up. If you miss the first, it might hit the next one. Naturally you can't always get into such situations, but it has been useful at times.

That wasn't the case when I last played through the original game. Think I read she requires 18. Some others need more though, at least 22 (possibly more as well, don't recall).

One of the wiki's still show 25, but those are pretty inaccurate.

The combined CHA score in my DC game was above 25 by the time I got her so who knows if it was changed again.

Telika: It's amongst the skills I've paid no attention to (along with animal whisperer, etc), so, out of curiosity : how does it work with multiple chars having charisma/leadership skills ? Each one has his/her own sphere of influence, or does it only register the highest sphere as "the" group leader - in which case how does it deal with ties ?
I'm pretty sure it is accumulative, just like party charisma.
