So, I have two Wasteland 2 versions which I got from a trade with a nice person here on GOG a long time ago. They were both part of the same code.

I was told one was a 32-bit version and one was the 64-bit version. For the life of me, I don't recall which one of the two
below is the 64-bit version.

===============================================

Version 1:
-------------
Wasteland 2

setup_wasteland_2_patch_6_(18584).exe

and

Version 1:
-------------
Wasteland 2 Director's Cut

setup_wasteland_2_directors_cut_2.3.0.5(a)_(32579).exe

===============================================

I tried looking through the forums and tried Googling, but have been unsuccessful so far. The versions listed on the forums does not seem to match either one other than the patch 6 part, but numbers after it do not match.

If anyone can provide an answer, I would truly appreciate it.

The "Director's Cut" version is the newer one which has been rebalanced and updated with various changes.

Yep you have Wasteland 2, and Wasteland 2 directors cut. Directors cut is the updated version with added features. Both wasteland 2 and wasteland 2 directors cut play differently because of the added features. Have visual differences also.

Wasteland 2 DC is much easier, better controls and menus, and easier gameplay with the added features making you stronger than you are in the normal wasteland 2.

Play wasteland 2 directors cut first. After that, if you want to play again play the original wasteland 2. It is harder, looks different, and plays different due to you being weaker. You also have to fine tune playing your characters and controlling them more. Because it lacks the directors cuts added features, i say its harder than the directors cut. So if you play the DC and liked it, maybe next time you play through the game, go with the original.
I wouldn't worry about "difficulty" being an issue - the OG version was pretty easy even on Supreme Jerk, so unless they made the DC version ridiculously easy (instead of just pretty easy), then playing the OG version won't really give you a "challenge".

They DO have different mechanics though. Apart from the DC version just having more stuff (aimed shots for one), they revamped the way armour and energy weapons work in DC.

From what I've heard, the DC armour model is even stupider than the OG version, in that energy weapons become almost useless in the second half of the game. Not that they were really necessary or useful in the OG version though - I found using non-energy weaponry was easily more than enough for everything.
Hi, I'm refreshing the topic, I have a problem with the installation of mods. I just can't install them.
