I want to be able to use any avatar / portrait for any race in Warlords Battlecry 3. For instance I want to make a high elf hero that looks like a demon and use the demon voice and avatar. Anyone know how to do this?

I'm no expert in this, and you've probably already tried this, but I think you have to tweak the folders containing the actual dialogue, portraits, and models of the characters in the actual folders. Try copying them and placing into different races. I hope I do not sound like an idiot... lol :)

That doesn't seem to be how the game is setup. I can't find those folders.

Oh and I'd appreciate if someone could explain why my sound effects keep cutting out in this game?

You can't, because it is hard-coded. However, you CAN replace avatars with any bmp. Here is a tutorial: http://www.moddb.com/mods/the-protectors/tutorials/how-to-add-your-own-hero-portrait
