Well the patch worked; did a fresh GOG install and then this patch. But after a couple days suddenly all sources of healing have stopped working, no heal spells or even potions are recovering any HP across any hero or save file >:/

That's an occasional bug that crops up in the game, not related to this patch. In my case, restarting the game fixes this sometimes, and when it doesn't, restarting the PC does (!).
