I don't know what's going on with this game. Sometimes it works okay and once I finished the 1st Chapter and start 1st mission of the 2nd Chapter I am forced to replay it once again and my hero stats and profession reset. I'm reluctant to finish it because the further I progress the more I'm concerned I'll waste all my progress. Any advice on this weird bug? I know choosing 1024x768 resolution can make a game crash to desktop after the first FMV after finishing Chapter 1.

I think GoG seriously should look at updating this game's compatibility. It's half broken at times.
