Hi all,

Does anyone know if it's possible to migrate save files from the Mac version of Warcraft to the Windows version?

I've been playing on my Macbook for a few days and finding it a bit glitchy, so decided to try the Windows version instead and found it runs much better (plus I discovered the Windows-only Mouse Helper mod which makes such a big difference to the old-fashioned UI!)

I just don't want to have to start all over again...!

Any assistance much appreciated!

GOG provides only one version - DOS. So save are same. Cant say where they placed by dos emulator. Right button on link - properties\show files - sonething like that.

Ah, of course it's the same version, I realise now that was a silly question! Thanks for pointing that out... so all that remains is for me to locate where DOSbox is putting the save files in Mac OS. I'll have another hunt.

EDIT: Found them! I'd stupidly forgotten about the way Mac OS 'packages' applications so that all their files are hidden within the one entry in the Finder. By clicking 'Show Package Contents' on the Warcraft application itself I was able to hunt through the folders and find the save files. Annoyingly, even though these 'packaged' files are obviously on my machine, they don't show up in a search...

I think it possible to emulate old MacOS in MacOS X. Better find old win+mac version. Or check cue+bin image (gog have it in game root folder) - did it contain MAC data too? Im cant see cause i use Windows.
Or cause it a wrong image. I can see both filesystem in my own image files mdf\mds\mdx of Wc3x\WoWx.

if cue+bin image have MAC data - try to find emulator and install native MAC version.
