I've entered my CD Key correctly, I've forwarded ports 6112-6119 to my PC. I've disabled windows firewall and still each time I go to try and log to the battle.net servers it comes up with an error that the battle.net servers cannot be found at to try again later.

Can anyone suggest what else I can do?

the gateway is down. nobody can log in.

if you have the original cd vesrion, you can log into the old gateways (Us West/East/Europe/Asia)
If you don't have the cd, you can probably find an ISO of it. The GoG cd-key works with the old gateways.
