So I just bought the game, tried to get on Battle.net and got this message.

"There is a new version of the software available, but you are unable to be automatically patched. Please completely un-install your game program and get the newest installer from Battle.net".

Before anyone asks, yes, my ports are open.

How do I get past this error?

GoG server uses strange versioncheck that doesn't allow you to join.
And also it's empty, nobody playing there.

Эта ошибка случится, если ты попытаетесь подключиться к ориигнальным gateway серверам Bnet (us west\east, eu. asia). Они, думаю, еще работают. Но с этой версией не пускают.

Удаляли ли вы записи от игры в реестре?

Did you clear Windows Registry strings about game? or manually move game from PC->PC? It seems that game use origianl 4 gateway servers - that error happen if you try to connect to them from GOG release. I think they still work.
