There was also a release where ToD, and BtDP's campaigns were in portuguese language.

It would be nice if it was added to the extras, for the people in Brazil and Portugal, that aren't used to the english language.

Is there anywhere portuguese War2BNE version?
It's a very difficult task to get localization from DOS versions ToD, and BtDPm but would be easy to get it from one BNE version to another.

Please, let me know if there's War2BNE on any other languages exist.
instead of official English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and unofficial Russian and Polish.

DarthElwood: I agree. Please add italian voices!

visconteprimus: Yup, especially (it's OT, I know. Pardon me!) in the third one, AND its espansion: one of the best dubbing ever made in videogaming, in our Country.

Arthas with Claudio Moneta's voice and Giorgio Melazzi as Kel'Thuzad is a must for us.

Like Balzarotti as Batman.
You know that this is Warcraft I&II? So that means no Arthas, no Kel'Thuzad, no Thrall, no Jaina. Only Gul'dan, Killrogg, Uther, Danath, Alleria, Tyralion, Khadgar, Cho'gall, Grom, Falstad, Zul'jin, Deathwing and some more Horde leaders.

Ehm... In Italy, Warcraft II was dubbed by the same team who worked on the third chapter. I've only expressed my opinion about why it's so important for us having this title (and its sequel) dubbed, as in its original release in our Country.

So, thanks a lot for this totally pointless precisation of yours.

What about Wc1? I remember only Garrona (half-orc assassin), 2 humie kings (one unnamed?), unnamed Horde leader, and some other heroes who reapper in Wc2, like Ogrim Doomhammer.

French version added.
Also, you can down... play Playstation (Saturn?) version with some other languages. + it have normal title - The Dark Saga (Beyond the Dark Portal good too), instead of "Some-Edition".

Ora, Frostmourne! [cit.]

/end OT

Blizzard's dubbing are always good: Warcraft 2 and 3, Starcraft and S2..really good actor choices and performances
@DarthElwood

Yes, totally!

And it's not just a sort of caprice! Nor a parochialism matter.

Dubbing teams of ours (especially those who worked in the last 90s and early 2000s) are a pinnacle, in terms of acting and in giving to us (Players) that right sense of empathy, so important during dialogues and cutscenes.
Well, french was added. This is encouraging! When they'll add italian I will insta-buy the game(s)
use playstation version. I dont think that multilanuage old warcraft's is a good idea (inet compatibility, different hotkeys, maybe some other reason).
Or just try to find italian\etc version and take 1 file from them with only briefing voices (+gamesfx folder).

Or German for me.

I don't know if you remember it, but the brazilian voice acting was so cringeworthy that I'd say the game has more value without those voices.

That's only half true, tho. It depended on the character. The orc voices were all okay, as were a couple of human units like the knight or the paladin. But most of the humans had a really stupid voice, including the most basic unit the peasant.

Do you have a link to download any build or brazilian war2? Would be very interesting to look into it.

Unfortunately I don't have one. I played with the CD I bought back in 97.
I've found a few videos in youtube where you can check how stupid the portuguese voices sound for some troops, like the peasant ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vjaNM0yVuA ) or the elven archer ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-2O1eVp_lc ), in my opinion the worst offenders.

Thanks, sounds interesting as for me! I don't know brazilian, but i want to gather full collection of war2 builds on all languages.

That's sad it's only DOS version here. It's not compatible with BNE, so need to rewrite every single string manually to make it work.

I don't remember crystal clear, it's not like I kept playing it, over the years. The old computer that I had it installed on, is dead, and when I started using a newer OS, the game refused to work.

The narrator, that speaks at the beginning of every mission, is no Ron Pearlman. But I didn't think he was trash.

And understanding what is going on in the human / orc campaign is essential, in my opinion. You don't start at Frozen Throne, because it'd be difficult to absorb the story, there would be "holes", which you wouldn't be able to fill (unless you've read WarCraft story elsewhere).
Playing the War2 campaigns in a language you've never studied before, would be worse than that, because you would understand jack shit.

Solely multiplayer mode users from Portugal/Brazil can still enjoy the game in english. The portuguese translation would be an option, for people that want to play the story mode, but due to a language barrier, don't.

There is a portuguese release of BNE.
It's in a "Best Seller Series" edition, similar (not my copy, it was quicker to just google it) to the portuguese release of the original StarCraft, that had translated texts, and new VO.
