sounds like to me that blizzard is tying gog's hands but thats my perception of it, hopefully this changes eventually.
hopefully, oh well we got War2Combat at least. but I am disappointed if its true that gog will not at least try to fix problems. but oh well, at least Warcraft II is now available again, granted with broken MP, but at least War2Ru is around to fix that issue.

You fkn lamo. Stupid kid. All 3 blizzard games from "Classic" link work PERFECTLY from release (in Online too).
DX version have some incompatibility problems for me, still can be solved. No multiplayer ofc.

And im say again - you lier. Dont talk about some "others ppl problems" - say only for yourself. You already buy Warcraft, hah? Lier! You post here only for spamming. I dont believe you from US - you talk same as them russian repackers. Some bullshit about game not available is stores, about Classic Battle.Net functionality in Warcraft 2. It ALWAYS work. I buy a *russian* (UK version CD made by Vivendi + localized "ripped" non-colored manual) budget Retail re-release in 2008 and play every year in MP too.

The game works fine in multiplayer.

Ports need to be forwarded, as has been the case for years, and is the case with many games.

The conversation you posted about your friend, saying his computer is messed up. Messing with your router isn't going to do anything to your PC. He messed up his router. He didn't know what he was doing and going by the way he was talking, he just started changing everything in his router settings. Nothing to do with Warcraft 2 or GOG. Doing stupid things will give you stupid results.

Just a tip, you sound a little obsessed, and you are unlikely to gain many followers acting like that. The fact that GOG doesn't jump to your demands, in a community forum that isn't meant for support seems to have you steaming. Why not just go through the route that GOG has designed and has worked fine forever? You say you have finally done that, but if you contacted them through support the same way you have reached out here in the forums, I wouldn't be surprised if they just dismissed you outright. Try calming down, and not raving about how much better the pirated version plays.

BTW I've played on those servers, and they aren't very active, and personally the GOG version has given me less hiccups and issues than the pirated version you rave about.

And after a few days - the patch gets released. So no support eh, OP? You couldn't wait for a few days and jumped immediately to conclusion that GOG doesn't support the game. Well, ok, I mean not that they have thousand other games and a whole storefront to tend to. Instead of a few pirates that like to play some matches and tweak the balance in their own limited vision, and mess up their network on the first issue with official servers they encounter.

Yeah I have to say the recent patch fixed the majority of the issues, there are some directx based issue yeah it works pretty well now.

That other *russian* (or ukranian) kid Alukret3 from russian torrent-tracker site say exactly what say OP here. Im say again - not believe that topic starter live in US. Some lying about GOG promises (HD graphics), lying about present functionality, about broken multiplayer. Also he say about <non-useful default HOTKEYs> (!!!)

Found the patch.. They put it smack dab in the middle of my screen.

the screen shot doesnt show the other issue i was seeing in the lobby. when i type something for the first time in the lobby it's fine. when i type something else, pieces of the letters get blacked out.. the more i type, the worse it gets.. until eventually i can't see anything that im typing at all. the whole chat box where i type is black

And the original version as a bonus/extra wouldn't hurt, either... Battlenet edition has some minor changes and inferior sound.

Yes, it is. AudioCD work for MAC version only, as i remember. Still image can be grabbed to WAV and played random in any player.
