Hi guys. I would like to clarify some doubts with you veterans in War2. I'm recently playing the campaigns of Warcraft II Battle.net Edition and I came across a problem that ruins the gaming experience.

Apparently, when the game is saved during a mission, the AI can break. I wonder if there is any way to fix this problem without giving up saving during the missions?

If no, has anyone played the Warcraft II Combat Edition mod? Do the original campaigns contained in it have this same problem? I tried the Ultraviolent version of Szwagier but found it very hardcore. :) Isn't there a version with more "moderate" difficulty?

One last question. I'm finding the campaigns very easy (I don't know if it's because of the AI glitch exclusively). Originally, was this problem always present in the initial versions of the game or is it exclusive to the Battle.net Edition? I see several reports from old players saying that they found the campaigns very difficult when they played years ago. Were the campaigns (without this glitch) easy or difficult in the original (DOS) version of the game?

I'm finding the campaigns a lot easier than I remembered, too. I had no idea about that potential save game bug! I always save at the start of a new mission, and load from there that when I'm in the mood to play again...
Due to AI glitching when loading, I usually save the game at the end of each mission. This way then I load the game, the next mission is a 'fresh' start in a way.

if u see ai is passive, you can just save and reload game, ai should start play

only I made campaign :P
The campaign difficulty is the same in both versions, its just that we were kids when Warcraft 2 first came and we were sucky noobs back then, lol.

The difficulty increases with each level and is meant as a way to slowly ease you into things. The expansion, Beyond the Dark Portal, starts at a higher difficulty if you want more of a challenge.
