I installed both and when I press the play button nothing happens, it goes grey for a while and then back to green. Without ever launching the game. I have tried restarting and verifying the files.

Does anybody have any idea what is going on and what i can do to fix it?

EDIT: Oh btw I am using Win 10 if that matters.

I'm having the exact same issue. I literally signed up to GOG to purchase War Winds 2 and the game won't launch in the Galaxy client and I get a terminal error from the desktop. Also using Windows 10.

In my case also both gamess are not working on windows 10. I've also tried to run them without gog galaxy and tried to set comatibility modes.

Update: GOG support wrote me back and their fix immediately make the game work for me using the Galaxy client in Windows 10!

Hello,

Please try this step:
Please open Run Command (you can do it by pressing WinKey+R) - > type: control - > press ok - > go to Programs - > Programs and Features, click the Turn Windows features on or off link, find the Legacy components on the list, enable DirectPlay and click OK to install it.

Is the gog version any different than the normal WW2? Because when I try to run the normal WW2 it's super slow and unplayable.
