Since a reviewer has noted that a purchase from the official site includes a Linux version, would it be possible for GOG to provide the native Linux version as an extra? I know GOG does not officially support Linux, however, several DOSbox games on GOG have included unsupported Windows installers.

That'd be a nice gesture for a lot of the indie games that have Linux versions. It can't be that hard to toss on a .bin as one of the bonuses. Unsupported is better than none at all.

I have tried quickly to install with Wine but I got a an error and didn't try further because I have Windows too.

The problem I see with adding the Linux version as a bonus is that people will ask the same for every game and it could become complicated.

Well, I don't see where offering that on games that already have Linux versions would be that big a hassle, probably just a request to the devs. Games that don't have an existing Linux version aren't going to get one here, simply because GOG can't be expected to write an entirely new version of a game, and how many of the guys there know Wine well enough to make wrappers for each game? I don't know about anyone else, but I'd like to think I'm a pretty reasonable person.

That said, yeah, I have Windows too. We're not at the point where a gamer can just have Linux, and I doubt we will ever reach that point.

I'm also all for a Linux version of this game and I certainly wouldn't expect a Linux version of all games. Just like with the Mac versions, there's simply not a version for every game and that's something you just have to accept as a Mac (and Linux) user.

I agree 100%. If there's already a Linux version available then I see no harm in it being included as a bonus (apart from server space I guess).

I don't use Linux at the moment, but I'd be more likely to buy this if it came with the Linux version too just in case I start using Linux. I know that's a little silly, but it's true.
