Hey guys.....
I have seen that a dev from Kalypso write here in the forum too. I have a question:
Will we get the linuxport on gog, too? Games like Tropico 5 and Crooks are not here for linux, they are steam only at the moment. The support from Kalypso wrote me an email last year, that we will get the linuxport too on gog, but I am a little bit frightened...
Can you bring me the light "Kalypsodevs"?
Hello Patsche85.
Linux will be released a little bit later.
I cannot make any promises if the Linux version comes to GoG as well, so stay tuned.
As it is Sunday evening, this might tale some time to get this information.

cheers

Oh my God....if Kalypso will release the Linuxport only on Steam, I never buy a game again from this company. This will show us on gog, that we are only second class customers.
I bought this game on gog, because it is drm-free. If that means I get no linux version I do not buy no more games. What do you think about it? You advertise the game with win, linux and mac support and release it only for windows on gog? That's unfair or not?

Hi! What exactly can prevent it from coming out here? Are these technical or quality issues? It's not uncommon that GOG Linux users are left out. I hope you can avoid that with this and any other game.

Thanks!

Yes it would be nice. I have bought the game because I thought we will get the linux port here too....Please Kalypso, I want it so much.
Are there any news about the port?

Yeah, it surely has been quite some time from the last update.
Hi everybody.
As I have stated I cannot make any promises on that.
Please be aware that the version coming for Steam is the SteamOS Linux-version.

cheers

Can you please explain what can prevent you from releasing it on GOG? SteamOS is based on regular Debian, so you don't need any special version for it. As long as you aren't using any Steam lock-in features (Steamworks and the like), you shouldn't have a problem, and since you clearly aren't doing it in Windows version, Linux one shouldn't be different.

I'm not going to buy the game on Steam, but a boxed Linux-version will hopefully be available in case we can't buy it on GOG.

If they can manage to sell boxed Linux version which is DRM-free, what prevents them from releasing it here?
I don't mind a boxed DRM-version of the game.

THX for the info. Are there any chances that gog buyers get a free copy on steam?

Hi Unerde. The Linux version just came out on Steam, but not here on GOG. Can you please explain what causes this blocker. Is it lack of Galaxy support for Linux or something else?
