This game is frustrating.

I play as an archer, so maybe some complaints ain't important.

1. Breakables get in a way of moving. You just start to shoot them instead. Most skill uses were to clear area before i can fight enemies in peace.
2. Skills and talisman share stamina with rolling. Meaning you can't use most powerful skills while dodging dangerous enemies. Is in when they are most useful. Same for talisman which requires full stamina bar for activation.
3. Enemy threats are very inconsistent. A pair of wolves can be a bigger threat than some bosses.
4. Skills are mostly useless. I only used poison arrow and scatter shot. The rest are either too expensive (lightning) or too stupid (kick and rain). Also, you can't change skill hot button or check what skill does. Have to go to gift tab for later one.
5. Camera angle is crap. You can kill enemies on top without them ever fighting back, but enemies below you will pop right in your face. It's also too close.
6. Equipped items appear in sale trade window, so it's possible to sell them. And it cost's a lot to buy them back. Trading in general is a mess. There is no way to sort items, so good luck looking for better things.
7. Shielded enemies are poorly designed. You just stand and shoot at them. This keeps them immobile. Once skill recharged - use it. Keep shooting to continue keeping them immobile.
8. That one time you get turned in to iron giant.
9. Hero is a viking 12 year YouTube commenter. Everybody, but her, is a soy boy beta cuck. I'm not sure she had a single kind word for anybody. This edginess gets annoying fast.
10. Bugs. Game crushed 3 times when buildin uniques, and now i can't fight final boss. He simply can't be damaged in his second form.

You're right. This game really pisses me off, too.

1. Breakable barrels are invisible most of the time.
2. This game crashes my hole system after a just few minutes or after a longer period of time. At first I thought the problem was my PSU after I witnessed similar crashes in X3 Terran Conflict and even Brigador a 2D game. I exchanged the PSU with a new one of the same type but the crashes still happen with Vikings. Other games are not affected so far after the PSU exchange. I even checked about on temperatur (CPU/System(GPU). Nothing!

I'm really starting to be afraid that this damn game damaged a component of my PC because the crashes started with this game!

Edit:
btw.:
I play as Odin-follower, a magician of some kind.

Finished the game yesterday. You can hurt Grimnir when he lies unconscious on the ground. To do that you have to collect the yellow orbs that regularly appear. As soon as you have five orbs, an automated magic attack against Grimnir happens which renders him unconscious for a short period of time.

Ah thanks!

I couldn't find that anywhere and was having trouble figuring it out. Based on the how-to vids the fight used to be very different (attack his fingers when they come up)

1. This problem varies by class and by map. I think it wasn't the best idea design, and they definitely didn't playtest it enough. That said, the game gets off on the wrong foot because the first map is one of the worst offenders, and some other maps aren't nearly as bad.
2. I actually thought that constraint was fairly well implemented. Esp. given that as bow you have +38% to foot speed, but as any class you have to mix your kiting up a bit.
3. This also seems to vary by class - as certain classes those spearmaidens in the early boards gave me huge problems, but as bow they were easy and certain other mobs were harder. Archer gets better with some of the higher level skills (knockback effect on arrows, freeze chance on crit) As mage the wolves are cake.
4. Rain has its uses (against Paladins, esp.), but agree you won't use it a lot other than paladins and a few bosses. Kick, tho, is very handy.
5. Yes
6. Yes, and it's not just the items in your inventory - the completely disordered presentation of items in the store is beyond lazy. It's neither alphabetized, organized by tier, or even by weapon. So good luck finding the top tier of staff for sale without mousing over every damn thing.
7. You can also roll around to change angles, roll in and kick, etc.
8. Lol, yeah, that was half-baked. And what do you mean I can't pick items up?
9. I think that's to set up some of the "drama" of the conclusion, but yeah, it's annoying and detracts from the overall story quite a bit.
10. There are definitely lots of bugs.

All in all, it's not a bad game despite its flaws imo, it just fell well short of being a great game.

Edit: The terrible hit detection, and the design choice to put breakables (and detection for mobs who haven't yet jumped out of their hiding spot) everywhere are probably the two biggest flaws, imo, though.

Yes. Game starting crashing on me when I started the "bog area" cant recall the name. level 6 or 7. Since then it crashes qutie often. Just now it crashed three times doing Jokuls. Seemed to happen when destroying troll totems. My PC is by no means new but withing specs for high graphics. Too bad, I like the game other than the crashes and the unbearable load time.
Yeah, this is a stupid fucking game. Movement is wonky, combat is wonky, moving while in combat is wonky. This isn't a very good hack and slash rpg. I'd give it a 60%. Game had decent graphics but the gameplay is just shit. Too bad, I really wanted to like it.
