Does this version have better performance than the steam or epic versions? I was having frame rate and pacing issues (lots of drops and studder) on both those editions. I was hoping not having any DRM would help.

It didn't matter what my settings were I could never get the game running properly and I far exceed the reqs...

i75820k (6 cores @4.4ghz all core)
32 gigs ddr4 quad channel
2080ti ftw3 ultra
Game always installed to either an Intel or Samsung pcie nvme ssd.

Also these issues existed when I had a gtx 1080 as well and through many different driver version's, major windows updates, clean windows installs... I tried everything.

Same issues here despite having a rig that exceeds the requirements. Very erratic FPS. Would love to know if anyone has any solutions.
I have tinkered and gotten to the point of absolutely minimal stutter. I unlock the framerate via the engine ini, then I use Riva Tuner to fix the framepacing. I run at 100hz and limit the frames to 95. Almost flawless now.
It is not horrible, but even with a 4090 and a 13700k i get some frametime spikes when the game streams new assets, if that is what you are talking about. And yes, i have tried EVERYTHING.

From the usual suspect like deactivating HAGS and game mode or fullscreen optimization, over different driver settings, to deactivating power saving features like EIST or C States.

Maybe, and that is a huge maybe, something like a 5800x3d could brute force this but i doubt it.

You have to accept that most developers don't care about proper optimization.

Played Control with Raytracing and that was a completely stutterfree experience, even when half the screen was covered in carnage due to the physics engine.

Usually i just refund games like that, niot paying for lazy devs.
