Sufyan: - The introverted, passive-aggressive cyber criminal and petty thief (Female Gangrel works great for this role)

Venita: I think that was the concept of my Nosferatu Female playthrough.
I've often wondered which is the least-played PC type. It's got to be female Nosferatu or female Ventrue.

Ahhh! You're even uglier then when you took me to the bad place! I rarely play male characters; playing a female character divorces me from myself better so I tend to RP better. I use the female nossie as much if not more then others. Brujha and Ventrue are probably the least used by me. My idea of Brujha is being non-diplomatic and that is hard for me. Really, if Nines were real, I'd avoid him like the plague - I can't see how gang mentality relates to anarchism and Damsel is basically the opposite of what the word means. Really, in my book, the only NPC who has their act together is Bertrum.

Indeed, I'm a Bertram Tung cynical pragmatist as well. He's one of the best characters for sure.

I don't usually play female characters except in third-person games. I figure if I'm going to spend 50+ hours looking at someone's backside it might as well be a girl. :)

Umm, does the nossie girl count? :)

3_Taverena: Suuure... But what is exactly not for you? Min/maxing your char, until he becomes an unstoppable tank? Because I see it as the main goal, since the game is VERY linear. Not as much as Redemption though, but still, it's pretty straight-forward. VTMB is a great game, but not really good RPG, since in the end of the day, you will face the same things no matter what you do or choose. So I think that it's more of a gameplay, rather than roleplaying.

lordhoff: I play each clan quite differently; refusing some tasks, etc. But, yeah, you can be a total bass to LaCroix and nothing REALLY happens. It's a fine line, I suppose. Really, are any PC games actually good for RP? Even though I don't and rarely have in the past, P&P is likely the only real RP format as there is built in flexibility. I don't know how often in games I wished I could write my own responses but had to choose what was there - none of which I liked and multi-player is limited by the number of butt heads who's idea of fun is to destroy the game concept.
For a great RPG experience, as well as a good gameplay and freat open world atmosphere overall, I'd recommend you Morrowind. Sure, the game is even older than VTMB, but it is the best one among all TES games and probably THE best game that was ever made. After a quick character creation you are completely free to live or die - exactly the treatment that a recently released prisoner can expect in a foreign land, that is quite hostile to outlanders as well. You can create your own spells, mess with alchemy, complete quests however you see fit or simply adore the world around you, since even after 15 years it is still as beautiful as ever.

I going to have to say that's a "no."

I'll investigate that - I've thought about getting it several times but al;ways chose another.

Morrowind is pretty good, but it takes a significantly different approach from Bloodlines. Bloodlines is mostly linear by design, while Morrowind is very, very open by design. Both approaches have strengths and weaknesses.

I enjoyed Gothic (I,II,III) so I should be OK.

I looove Morrowind. My biggest problem is that I tend to get lost in the mods and rarely get to play while trying to build the best game. I should be better at just playing and only use the mods that fixes bugs and add content that is already in the game and just needs to be turned on like Bethesdas own add ons
