triphopscott: how should i play the game for my first time?

is this the perfered way to play?

age of redemption seems to only require the 1.1 patch gog comes with

i also hope this makes it easier for anyone looking for up to date (im totally assuming its up to date) patch/mod/bug fix stuff for this game. i noticed there was no sticky for redemption... which i gotta be honest, kinda confused me

Signothorn: Never EVER use the unofficial patch v 1.2, especially in single player. It will glitch the game. It was supposed to fix some issues with multiplayer games, but it's not something you should ever use lol.

I prefer Age of Redemption, but you should give it a go with the 1.1 first, so you can see the differences. The config app in AoR gives you a lot of control over various aspects of the game, and AoR vastly improves AI, along with allowing the single player campaign in multiplayer co-op mode.
