No, afraid not
Even, DotEmu don't sell it any longer.

Steam had it on sale for $4.99 last week

Steam sales are nothing. I does not count, not exist. We don't care, fuck the drms.
DotEmu bring us drm-free pc games, never drm.

Besides that, "Steam" Bloodlines doesn't work unless you do a considerable amount of fiddling. Fact is that "Steam" sells a lot of games that are simply not compatible with their system and make no effort to warn people. Sleeze would be a better name for them.

Actually, not true. All that needs to be done is to apply Wesp's patch and you are good to go.

For this game; his patch doesn't work on all the others :)

Except you're lucky if you can leave Santa Monica with that patch. The true patch is the way to go for no CTDs.

Things do tend to get broke as fast as things are fixed in that patch/mod series but I've found that, for the most part, it works. My advise has been unchanged over the years - start with the true patch and switch to the unofficial patch later if you become bored. Doubt GOG will ever get it, though as there are legal problems plus the designers were put out of business by the publishers sharp business practices.

Wesp's patch has the unfortunate legacy of causing the only rage-uninstall of a game in my collection. People really need to stop pointing others that are new to the game in that direction.

Not that GOG will get the rights to sell the game, Activision's lawyers have a habit of dropping the ball with their old games.
All that I can really say about GoG and Bloodlines is that I know for a fact a conversation has taken place between GoG and Activision. I don't know too much more than that, but I can say with 100% certainty that some discussion has happened and GoG would like to have it.

What happened exactly? Its true that I only played some dozen or so times with the UP (probably 4x that with the TP - I keep coming back to it) and it seemed mainly to make things easier (to an already easy game) and the (can't remember the name) Japanese hunter in Chinatown (played prior to the introduction of the basic version) where she could enter Ming's temple with you was definitely broke, nothing was game stopping. Its basically a mod rather then a patch (even the basic version) so one expects changes (some good, some not so good) and changes are good when one is bored with the intended play.

It would crash to desktop on every single area change, saving prior to passing the area change would allow one area change, right up until the warehouse where Wesp's code just crapped out totally and wouldn't let the warehouse area load at all.

If I had to wager a guess I'd say Wesp tried to fix one of the memory leaks in the engine and failed miserably, not that I care as I'm never touching his mess again thanks to the true patch.

Glad I missed that one (he changes the patch many times yearly). Your likely right on your guess. Too bad the change of content mods aren't so good (I'm being kind :) ). Its getting kind of old with me but if I do play again (and I keep coming back), I'll use the TP. I think I'll be getting my vampire fix from Redemption since it now appears that the long promised MMPRPG is vaporware. I was going to try the AOR 2012 but from the "let's plays", it appears that there are quite a few bugs that will be fixed soon with the 2014 version but it will also have changes. What say ye, "Signothorn"? Should I wait or go ahead with 2012?
