salaisuus: Hi,

I'm trying to get the lastest Clan Quest Mod to work on my Bloodlines, but it's won't load. I tried a fresh install of the main game and installed the mod following the instructions given in PlanetVampire and it seemingly worked (it created the CQM folder etc in my Bloodlines folder), but the game still launches in it's vanilla version no matter from what shortcut I try to launch it - and it won't create a new one on my desktop like it says in the instructions it would.

So, what am I missing and doing wrong? I've been trying to google this for a few hours now and getting kind of frustrated. :D

ludgerarnold: Then you'll have to create and modify a shortcut yourself. First create a shortcut for /MYBLOODLINESDIRECTORY/vampire.exe and call it "Bloodlines Clan Quest" or whatever you like.
Then rightclick the new shortcut and go to properties (last entry in the context menu). There you will find something like this: C:\Spiele\VtMB\Vampire.exe -game CQM
Actually you have to add the -game CQM, then launching the game with this shortcut will start Clan Quest Mod.
I tried this with a fresh install again, but unfortunately it still seems to open the vanilla game - at least the start menu looks like the normal menu. Any other suggestions? If it is relevant, I used the latest 3.1.2 installer for the mod.
Sorry, no further ideas. Is there anything unusual with your game? Version, install-location?

I have the same problem. this also happens if i try to install the 'Final NIghts'.
For some reasons the "-game CQM" attribute is not executed and I have no idea why.
Hm, judging by the time these problems crop up, I'd say Galaxy seems to do some strange things.
I've never seen this problem mentioned on PlanetVampire, and here only after "Download and instal with Galaxy" was set as the standard option.
So maybe you should try running the game without Galaxy or even manually download and install.

I had the same issue with Final Nights. Rather than use a shortcut I added this command line To The GOG launcher VIA settings and it worked at last. I dont have a seperate mod folder, most of these large mods are standalone and come with their own patches. They don't overwite anything normally although in some occasions you have to copy across DLLS as mentioned above but not with Final Nights HD version, this includes its own mod loader. I would reccomend Todd Evf on you YouTube

The command line on GOG I mentioned is simply: -game tfn
