Is it remotely as fun as Bloodlines?
Nope, nothing similiar to Bloodlines.
It's Diablo in Vampire: The Masquerade set, but with dialogues.
Game actually is pretty cool.
What is most incredible, that you are starting at 13C and finishing at 20C.
It's really awesome to have one character which is passing throught this ages.
It's like two different games in one.
Similar feelings as from Driver4, when you starting at 70x and then playing at present days. Very nice.
hey i prefer Redemption than Bloodlines.
both are fun but redemption is That vampires game that i played all nights long.
i wish some addon for single player for medieval World Of Darkness.
i never played multiplayer though...
but there is for instance nice community map - castle of e Vlad III the Impaler [dracula] ;)
Thanks. :) I'll probably check it out after ME2 and Arcanum are done.

Yes it's a great game. If GOG has gotten the bugs out it will be even better. I wonder if my old (bugged) save will work with this version?

1. was there any major bugs in your version? i finished the game without any.
2. YES. saves works just fiiiiiiine :] [if game was patched to v1.1]
I played through it, beginning to end, twice. I haven't even finished Bloodlines once. It probably says more about my preferred style of RPG, but I think Redemption is an awesome game!
Why is every RPG nowadays, just because it has 'combat' (which RPG doesn't!) in the third person as opposed to first person, gets called 'Diablo like'?! I find it amazing how many times Diablo gets mentioned in so many games that are nothing like Diablo! :)
Deffinitely one of the best cRPG games I've EVER played - and I played a lot. I still tend to install it from time to time. :-)
Yeah, played this a year ago or so (but this is my first time owning it legally). Good game, I've seen people complain about the pacing but it didn't bother me. Its only real flaw, and this is a silly thing but it kind of breaks immersion, is the Australian voice actor they used for a place in London >.< I don't have anything against Australian accents, but it's incredibly out of place in the environment.
I played this when it came out. I think it is a very good game, the studio made a good job even if it is not a hardcore RPG.For me it has beaten Diablo 2, which was out almost at the same time, in several ways.
Plus, it was not full of bugs like the Troika game...

You move on by clicking on a spot;
you hit mobs by targetting them;
you sort out points between abilities
3 things which tell it is not "nothing like Diablo" ;)
You can compare everything with everything, get used to it.
Because you like quoting, I will too: Everything is possible, and the reverse of everything too (I don't know the English version of it...)

Played the German version of this game (it has the Option NO BLOOD autoturned on) on my Computers before and installed it on my eeePC where it runs just fine
It had a bug while playing on XP SP2, the game hung every time I beat the tremere Master in Vienna, so I couldn't play beyond that point on my PIII as the installed Windows also had a Flaw: could not install SP3
For sure one of my Favorite PC RPGs, along with Wizardry 8
Diablo like? Since when Diablo has a Hero Party, an elaborate Story and so few magic/unique Items? ;)
I bought this game when it originally came out and really enjoyed it. I think it's a better game than Bloodlines.

Not all 3rd person isometric RPGs are diablo-like. No one would call Fallout 1-2 or Arcanum diablo clones even though they're played from the same perspective. But in the case of Redemption, the gameplay has a whole lot in common with Diablo. In fact the best way to describe the game is as Diablo with a stronger focus on storytelling. 90% of gametime is spent in a dungeon of one sort or another hacking and slashing through and casting spells at room after room of trash mobs, collecting loot along the way. After you kill the boss at the bottom of the dungeon, you return to town, sell your loot, buy new stuff, watch a cutscene, and then go to the next dungeon.
