You may also be interested in voting on this wishlist entry:

Considering that this game is loved by so many people, GOG might someday offer a Linux version like they did for the classical Baldur's Gate series.

I was going to vote on this entry… then I realized that I’ve already done it ;)

Thanks, I edited the links on the ./play.it guides to point on the new entry you opened instead of the previous one (Version 1.x retail).

Thank you very very much !!! :) Will try it!
Update

Script updated to ./play.it 2, bringing Arch Linux support amongst other nice things.

New supported installer:
setup_vampire_the_masquerade_-_bloodlines_1.2_(up_10.0)_(22135).exe
+ setup_vampire_the_masquerade_-_bloodlines_1.2_(up_10.0)_(22135)-1.bin
@vv221

Thank you very much for your continuous support. I liked that game very much back in the day. Without your help Icould not get it to work under linux. Using Mint btw.

I just searched like stupid for vampire_the_masquerade_bloodlines_v1.2.exe (MD5: 8981da5fa644475583b2888a67fdd741). I thought it to be the regular patch, which of course doesn't match the MD5. But I figured, that it is the full game one could once upon a time purchase from DotEmu. Now I feel stupid. For others like me, maybe you might add that information to the script page. That you only need the two files from gog OR the one from Dotemu.

Thanks again for beeing this games vital linux support.

Thanks for the report, I added a warning next to the DotEmu installer name.
Hello guys. I'm trying to install but always appears this:

Error:
innoextract (>= 1.7) not found. Install it before running this script.

I already installed innoextract without a problem in the terminal, I don't know why keeps saying this message. I followed those instructions:

/wiki.dotslashplay.it/en/games/vampire-the-masquerade-bloodlines

constexpr.org/innoextract/install

Can someone help me? I bought this game just to try to play on Linux, that is the operational system I have at the moment.

Thanks in Advance = )

*Obs: I'm using Ubuntu 18.04

The innoextract version provided by Ubuntu Bionic (18.04) is too old to handle this installer.

I provide .deb packages for innoextract 1.7 compatible with Bionic here:
https://www.dotslashplay.it/ressources/innoextract/ubuntu/bionic/
Download the .deb file for your system architecture (if you don’t know which one, it’s probably "amd64"), then install it using `apt` on command-line.

If you get difficulties doing this, just ask for help and we’ll try to walk you through it.

Thanks friend,

I will try at night and tell you how it went = )

Thanks once again!
Still no luck, I received the following message (attachment):

The funny thing is that I have 7 Gb of free space O.o

The issue here is that this game is big (~4GB) and ./play.it look for twice the size of the game.
We actually need a bit less than twice the size, but when I wrote this test I wanted to be sure we wouldn’t fill a partition by accident.

I upvoted the related ticket on our bug tracker so I will remember there is some real need for it:
Add a script option allowing to skip free space check
I’ll try to have something you can use allowing to bypass the free space check in a couple days, maybe as soon as tomorrow ;)

By the way, are you running the script with "sudo"? If so, you don’t need to do this, it doesn’t require any special permissions.
