I am downloading the 9.5+ version and like to know.. so how do I do that? Do I just install it into a new folder in the game directory just under the "Unofficial Patch" folder and then change the launchthingie?
Or do I add the folder to the launchinfo so that it reads
launch /x/thenicegamewithvampires -new patch- -newpatch+- or do I swap out the -new patch- for the other one?


Also: after reinstalling the game it plastered some info like "AI suspended" or something during every damn video sequence or map-changes.

The game thinks I am using the american layout while I am using the german and after 3 times trying to rebind the key it crashed. It didnt remember the rebound keys and just goes back to the alternative default (not wasd but arrowkeys)

How do I do to tell the game that no, I dont use the english layout for this keyboard? So when I press Z in the rebind-menu I don mean Y. really.

In the cfg files is just a "dummy" (which I suppose should mean: take the cfg files from the -new patch- config file ) but when I change something in the cfg files of new patch it does not take over the changes but stays on the alternative scheme-even after resetting...

and it still thinks the keyboard-layout is the american.

In general I´d love a "how to mod this game for dummies" as a stickied posting here.. Not just where to fund patches but how to use them for people who were never really the pc gamer or modder crowd (or were it so long ago they used win 98..)

Install it into the Unofficial_Patch folder that is already there, do not install it into another one. You need to switch the keyboards in Windows, the game will always use the Windows one.
