After installing the (as of today) most recent version of the game (1.121), I found myself stuck with a non-responsive black screen right after the disclaimer message following the initial loading screen. Checking the Player.log file in ~/.config/unity3d/Lost Pilgrims Studio/Vagrus, I found an error message about the game being unable to read the movie header for /home/(user)/games/Vagrus The Riven Realms/game/Vagrus_Data/StreamingAssets/logo.webm, which in turn led me to discover that there was no such file to begin with.
Copying logo.webm from an older version of the game did the trick.
